Happy October!!

This is what fall is all about...pumpkin carving, going to the fair, and football!! I LOVE October...mainly because it is the month I got married :)

My sweet little sister came to visit for the weekend...I have missed her so much! We had a blast on Saturday...many fun filled fall activities. We woke up and made some waffles and then headed out on this dreary day to pick out a pumpkin to carve...

Mission accomplished: Perfect pumpkin FOUND
Our first real pumpkin hunt together...precious, I know. No, but seriously...last year we only had time to go to Publix ON HALLOWEEN and get a sorry little pumpkin that we barely had time to carve.
We made Wes do all the cutting and carving--that sucker was THICK!...as you can see, it gets a little messy ;) No, he didn't really eat it, BUT we found out that our dog likes pumpkin; however, he was scared TO DEATH of the pumpkin itself! It was pretty entertaining. He spent the whole time crawled up in the corner with his head buried under his paws.

After carving the pumpkin, we met Wes's sisters and our soon-to-be brother-in-law Kent at the SC State Fair.

This is Kent...he is saying "GO PHILLIES!!!!"...sort of

After the fair, we went to visit our friends, the Reedys and Mary (aka LMR) at their tailgate before the USC vs LSU game. Sadly, we lost. I think we put up a pretty good fight though.

We skipped the game to eat pizza and watch a movie at home. It was a good decision because it was VERY chilly and we would not have gotten home until very late. It's interesting; however, that I still fell asleep in church on Sunday morning...yikes
